BEES UNIVERSE

Ionel has been a part of the East Lynn Farmers' Market since the very beginning. His stall is located along the top of the park. He and his wife Irina manage over 300 hives between Toronto and Innisfil, and have a variety of products including royal jelly, pollen, candles, lip balm, skin cream, and of coarse HONEY! Wildflower, Campfire and Cinnamon. Pick up a few honey sticks for the kids while you're there!!


BELANGER'S ORGANIC FARM

Josh Belanger comes every week from Hillsdale Ontario to sell his certified organic vegetables and meat. He has a variety of fruits and vegetables from onions to strawberries, and the most beautiful lamb you'll probably ever taste. His stall is located on East Lynn Avenue at the very end.

Jay Thoman is enthusiastic about his product, and he's always up for an opportunity to educate consumers about the benefits of maple syrup--"more than a sweetener" is printed on each of his bottles. Jay's 25 acre sugar bush is located along the Niagara Escarpment providing his maple syrup with a unique flavour. At his stall located along the top of the park you'll find 4 varieties of syrup (extra light, light, medium and amber) as well as maple candies and maple butter (whipped maple syrup--no butter)--the ultimate spread for toast.

HISTORY: Traditionally tobacco farmers, the Godelies started growing corn for their 4 kids to sell at their roadside stand in the early 90's. The kids did so well a fancy new stand had to be built and is now a permanent fixture! Eventually, the Godelies added more and more produce.  
PRODUCTS: Strawberries, sweet corn, potatoes, pumpkins, gourds, cucumbers.
BONUS: Our ZANIEST farmers for sure! They always have a smile on their faces and a spring in their step! They are thrilled to share their farming stories with you. They opened their home and hearts to us when we took a field trip to their farm this past winter - we now want them to adopt us! Ask them about starting your own Frozen Market
in your home.


KAR-DEAN FARMS

Karen and husband Dean are tender tree ripened fruit growers. Their stall is packed full of peaches, nectarines and apricots when the season arrives. They are located along the top of the park when at the market. Karen is a school teacher and her time at our market is cut short by the school year. Be sure to look out for her in July and August.


KIND ORGANICS

Tamas and his wife Sandra along with partner Amber pour their hearts and souls into the nourishment of their sprouts, lettuce and salad greens. They run a certified organic operation in Newmarket and are new to the East Lynn Park Farmers' Market. Check out their stall and products along the top of the park.

HISTORY: The farm has been an orchard since the 1950s. The family purchased it almost 10 years ago and has been making lots of changes -- revamping the dwarf trees and putting in irrigation using the trickle method.
PRODUCTS: Apples, Pears, Plums, Cider and value added products. Pies, Sparkling Cider, Preserves, Dried Apples. Pumpkins, Squash and Sweet Corn.

HISTORY: Steve's grandparents bought the farm in 1968. He and his parents expanded the farm by buying neighbouring farms. They started farming organically in 1997. They had organic laying hens and charlais cattle and produced all the crops and feed themselves.   Later they started experimenting with spelt, kamut, and hard red wheats and the bakery was born!
PRODUCTS: Grows wheat/mills flour/bakes bread. Baked Goods, Various Breads, Rye, Whole Wheat, Hallah, Sunflower Seed, Caraway Seed.
BONUS: Tara is the TRUE Little Red Hen (only better looking!) growing her own wheat, milling it into flour, and baking her own bread! Unbelievable!
