June 18 - Strawberry Fest and Neighbours' Night Out

This is our official opening party! Join us for some strawberry festivities and a high-energy concert. Plus, it's our annual neighbourhood potluck in the park, so bring a batch of cookies or a pot of stew, a reusable cup and plate, a hunger for some chitchat with your neighbours and of course, an appetite for fresh Ontario strawberries.

July 16 - Corn Shuck Down

Who will win Danforth East's second annual corn shuck down? Last year, Guinness Book record-holding oyster shucker Patrick McMurray and Thirsty Traveler Kevin Brauch were handily defeated by Waterford farmer Boz Toic but rumour has it they've been practising in their basements for a rematch. Plus, a community square dance troop is aiming to host our first East Lynn Farmers' Market square dance. Bring your cowboy hat! 

August 20 - Peach Party Movie Night

It's August, which means hot sticky evenings, with peach juice dribbling down your chin. Join us for our second movie night in the park. Last year, more than 150 families arrived at the market, and after filling up their baskets with fresh Ontario produce, they settled down on the grass for Nim's Island . The Farmerlicious Femmes could be convinced to dust off that antique popcorn maker again.  

September 17 - Applemania

Caramel apples, bobbing for apples and tasty apple treats from our local Melanie's Bistro made last year's Applemania a huge success. This year plans for the first East Lynn Idol are afoot.

October 8 - Harvest Festival

The Danforth East Community Association is hosting this party along with the Danforth Mosaic Business Improvement Association. Details to come.

October 29 - Spooky Pumpkinfest

Come to the market in your Halloween costume and be prepared to dance to some rockin' tunes by a local band. (Last year, we were treated by The Sons of Beaches.) Our pumpkinfest features a costume parade, spooky treats and face painting.
